Diagnostic Clinician

Responsibilities

  • Model and always represent organization values and mission

  • Report to assigned Agency Director(s)

  • Collaborate with Client Services Manager to schedule client evaluations

  • Perform diagnostic evaluations as assigned in a timely manner

  • Create comprehensive, timely, & detailed diagnostic reports for caregivers, funding sources, & providers

  • Provide recommendations/referrals as appropriate commensurate with the diagnosis

  • Coordinate with other providers to develop/maintain updated referral/recommendation lists

  • Collaborate with Directors to improve operations, policies, and procedures as needed

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with community partners

  • Remain updated on current policies and procedures for Agency

  • Remain updated on funding source policies, procedures, and requirements

  • Adhere to relevant board requirements, rules, and regulations

  • Maintain client privacy in accordance with company policy and HIPAA

Qualifications

  • Currently licensed and in good standing in at least one of the following:

    • Developmental Pediatrician,

    • Neurologist,

    • Pediatric Neurologist,

    • Psychiatrist,

    • Pediatric Psychiatrist

    • Psychologist, OR

    • ARNP for one of the following specialties:

      • psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner,

      • physician,

      • physician assistant or

      • Naturopath; and

        • That can demonstrate expertise in diagnosing autism spectrum disorder and other relevant neurological and developmental disabilities

  • Ability to obtain a Center of Excellence (COE) in compliance with WAC 182-531A-0800

  • Proficiency in standardized diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS-2), strong clinical observation and analytical skills

  • Experience providing clinical evaluations for autism spectrum disorder and other relevant neurological and developmental disabilities

  • Current on all required trainings/certifications/continuing education units

  • Ability to pass a background check consistent with 43.43 RCW

  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, OneNote, and Outlook systems
